FRRRREEEEEZZZZZING
So how many of you are liking this freezing cold weather? Not me! I have to ride my bike a lot to get to west bank and back and let me tell you going over that bridge is like doing the polar plunge aka when crazy people jump into the the bay at home during winter. The sad thing though is that this will feel warm to us in a few weeks when the temps drop below zero. Definitely not looking forward to that. I guess I would not care so much if it snowed...then I'd be happy. Snow means snowmobiling time!! Yay!

Duck Duck Grey Duck????
What the hell is duck duck grey duck? Hello people it's DUCK DUCK GOOSE! lol! Now I can understand a little bit why bubblier is ridiculous, but I'm from Wisconsin and will ALWAYS use it; but really....duck duck grey duck. I heard that last year and just about died. Why make a children's game even more complicated for them? I mean why tell lies to your kids about what colors the ducks really aren't. Pink duck pink duck....DUCKS ARE NOT PINK! See in Wisconsin we tell the truth with our simple duck duck goose game.

Turkey carving
EWWWWW! That is all I'm saying about carving a turkey. I have never been so disgusted in my life. My roommates decided to have a big thanksgiving meal together before we go home for the holiday. They bought a turkey and decided to carve it tonight. They pulled out bags of organs that were nasty and all bloody. One of my roommates is in the nursing program and likes to dissect things so she thought it would be real fun to dig right into the organ parts we were not using. I almost died! Then we had to wash the excess crap out of the inside and lets just say it turned the sink a nice vibrant color of red with lovely chunks left in the sink. This is where I almost lost it! After this awesome experience I will not be doing this anytime soon. When I have kids they can eat KFC for Thanksgiving lol!

Coat trees
Please tell me someone out there knows what a flippen coat tree is? Well half of Minnesota does not have a clue what it is. I decided to go to Target the other day to try and find this coat tree and the guy I asked just looked at me and asked what I was talking about. So I explained it to him and such...oh FYI Target DOES NOT have coat trees in their store. So I proceed to walk over to Home Depot and ask them...same reaction. The first lady had to point me to a new person to ask because she had no clue what I was talking about...FYI Home Depot ALSO DOES NOT sell coat trees.
For those of you who do not know what a coat tree is...it is a stand that you can hang your coats on. Jeesh!

Its that time of year again
So the time has come for us to schedule for spring semester...fun right? NOPE! I am having such a hard time doing this right now. I don't schedule till next week, but trying to get all my stuff together has become very stressful. I am done with all my lib eds so I decided to start taking some classes from my major and oh...yeah I have to be declared before I'm allowed to get into any of those classes. Sweet! So I emailed a half dozen professors begging them to let me in their class and thankfully 2 of them gave me permission numbers so I'm not that screwed anymore, but this all still sucks if you ask me. Does it ever get easier?

Crime at the U
At least once a week I receive an email entitled "Campus Safety Alert..." should I just put these in my junk mail because the descriptions of the criminal tell me nothing. Thank you whoever wrote this...you have just described half the people on this campus. Yeah it sucks that this is happening so much more frequently, but people also have to realize that this is a big city and its not a smart idea to be walking by yourself anywhere at night. We all think that it couldn't happen to us, but why should we take the chance? Usually if you are with at least one other person or stay on busy roads you don't have as much to worry about. So be alert and stay safe this year!
World Trade Center
I don't know about you guys, but the movie we watched today was probably one of the saddest movies I have ever seen. I am usually one of those people who can never cry during movies, but this one really changed that. I did everything possible not to cry my eyes out. I also don't think it matters how long it has been since the attacks, I will always remember that day like it happened yesterday and the same emotions will come out. I will get goosebumps from every picture of 9/11 I look at and feel sad and helpless. Everyone complained that this movie came out way too soon after the attacks which I agree with, but really what is a good time? It has been 6 years since the attacks and I don't think it matters how long we wait to make this movie because all those emotions you felt that day are going to come rushing back no matter what.
